The Original Munich Experience In 1993, Mike Lasher arrived in Munich from Long Island, NY, with a passion for history and a curiosity for the “real” Bavaria. While working in the heart of the city, he noticed travelers were missing the true soul of Munich—they were seeing the sights, but not feeling the magic.
One afternoon, during a “Eureka” moment on a bike ride along the Isar River, Mike realized that two wheels were the perfect way to bridge that gap. In May 1995, with 20 second-hand bikes and a handful of photocopied brochures, Mike’s Bike Tours was born.
