Munich Budget Accommodation
When it comes to budget accommodation in Munich we recommend the places listed below. Many of these privately owned Munich budget / youth hotels are not like the classic hostels of the past. They are modern and offer more than just dorm-room accommodation rather also single and double rooms, some with showers en suite. They also all offer a good or at least decent breakfast and friendly service.

The Easy Palace Hostel City Center – only a 2 min walk from the train station
The Easy Palace Hostel at Goethe Platz – also very central. It's a 12 minute walk up the street from main train station.
The 4 You Hostel – is only 2 mins from the North side of the main train station
Jäger's Hostel in the Senefelder Strasse is only 100m from the Main Train Station
A & O Hostel Arnulfstraße – is a short tram ride up the street from the north side of the main train station and their other location is only a 7 min walk up the street from the south entrance, in the Bayer Strasse.
CVJM (YMCA) – the YMCA in Munich is about 300 m from south side of the main station
Central Munich Budget Hotels:
Pension am Jakobsplatz is only about 400 m from Marienplatz and very highly recommended at Trip Advisor.com
Pension Locarno is a very friendly family owned place just outside the main entrance to the main train station.
Pension am Siegestor is a very cozy and friendly place to stay in the heart of Schwabing right near the university, a nice 15 minute walk or just one subway stop into the heart of the Old Town (Odeonsplatz), alternatively, two stops to Marienplatz.
Pension Flora is also a friendly place just up the street from the N. side of the main train station.
Hotel Belle Blue is right up the street from the main train station, South side.
Hotel Monaco is also only about 200m from the main train station.
Hotel Mark, ca. 400 m from the Main Train Station.
The Creativ Elephant is a very nice "designer-oriented" hotel near the N. side of the train station for a slightly higher budget
