Neuschwanstein Castle Tour DetailsNeuschwanstein-Castle-Tours-From-Munich

Our scheduled tours to Neuschwanstein castle for 2013 start on May 4! Spots are filling up fast so secure your spot by BOOKING ONLINE.

Over the winter we will be offering tours by minivan for private parties. For details on these tours please visit THIS PAGE of our website.

Our Neuschwanstein castle tours by luxury coach depart from our shop, Discover Bavaria, which is a 4 minute walk from Marienplatz and directly around the corner from the REAR ENTRANCE to the Hofbräuhaus, according to the Neuschwanstein Castle Tours schedule, right.

Arrival back in Munich, near Marienplatz or Main Train Station: Approx. 7:45 pm

Reservations through our ONLINE SYSTEM are highly recommended. For inquiries when in Munich without a prior reservation, please check online first. Should the tour be fully booked online you can give us a call and we can check to see if anyone has cancelled their reservation. Our Neuschwanstein castle tours are usually fuly booked by the end of the day prior to any tour and often sooner, however, last minute availability is often possible, yet is always very limited! Hohenschwangau-Neuschwanstein-Castle-ToursHohenschwangau castle, where Ludwig II grew up, 1 km from Neuschwanstein.

Our bike tour, hike through the gorge and other activities are naturally optional. For our guests NOT interested in the bike ride and other activities offered one of several possible options we suggest is to consider taking the tour of the interior of Hohenschwangau castle, which is also right there in the town of Hohenschwangau and visible from Neuschwanstein.

In such cases the value of coming on our Neuschwanstein castle tour is offered primarily in the form of transportation by luxury coach and the organization of castle tour tickets (which cost an extra €11 (discounted from the usual 12) for the Neuschwanstein castle tour and €21 for those interested in doing tours of both Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau.

PLEASE NOTE: This tour is NOT just for young and active people, as all activities are optional and there are alternatives! The bike ride is relaxing and not strenuous at all (except for the last bit being uphill, but that's just before it's over and our break for lunch.)

Naturally Brad and Maike, our tour guides, are very helpful in consulting and helping our guests less interested in our itinerary to customize their day to their personal desires.

Return to Munich during Oktoberfest is at approx. 7:30 pm, drop-off near Oktoberfest grounds offered. These tours return to Munich at the same time as usual but start an hour later. We have decided to not include a bike tour at this time of the year because 1) the weather is often not favorable for it and 2) we know that many (most?) people appreciate the extra hour in the morning and are interested in getting back as early as possible because of the Oktoberfest. This makes our tour slightly different, but it is still an outstanding value. We do not want anybody disappointed so if the bike tour is what you'de be most interested in, we're glad you did not oversee this notice and we hope you'll join us and Brad anyway!
